Job Summary
Florida Fresh Events is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Wedding and Event Set-up and Strike Team Member. As a Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful setup and dismantling of floral arrangements and event props for weddings and various events. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the timely and efficient delivery, setup, and takedown of floral displays and decorations at event venues. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Physical Requirements:
● Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined
● Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds
● The role involves extended periods of standing and walking while overseeing the loading of
trucks and vans.
● Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel to arrange and position event materials properly.
● Stand for extended periods while overseeing event setup and execution. The ability to remain on
one's feet for extended periods is essential..
Responsibilities
● Safely drive and operate a range of company vehicles, including a 26’ box truck, 16’ box truck, and high roof cargo van.
● Load and unload floral arrangements, props, and event-related materials with care to ensure their integrity during transportation.
● Collaborate with the floral design and event planning teams to execute the setup of floral displays, centerpieces, and other decorative elements at event venues.
● Follow provided event layouts and design instructions to arrange the flowers and props precisely as planned.
● Efficiently dismantle and pack floral arrangements, props, and event materials after the event's conclusion.
● Ensure that all materials are handled with care to avoid any damage during the takedown process.
● Regularly inspect and maintain company vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
● Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the management promptly.
● Adhere to set schedules and timelines, rate reliability and punctuality in all job-related responsibilities.
● Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth event execution.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
● High School diploma, GED (or equivalent experience)
● Required: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
● Preferred: Experience driving and operating a 26’ box truck, 16’ box truck, and high roof cargo van.
● Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (floral arrangements, event props, etc.).
● Maintain a presentable, professional, and clean appearance at all times to uphold the company's image and create a positive impression on clients and colleagues.
● Detail-oriented and able to replicate floral designs accurately.
● Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
● A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
● Previous experience in floral design, event planning, or related fields is a plus.
● Must be willing to work early mornings, late evenings, including weekends and holidays and have a flexible weekly schedule.
