Our Sustainability Journey

A Commitment to Progress, Every Single Day

At Florida Fresh, sustainability is not a project with an end date — it is a continual journey of learning, improving, and elevating how we operate. The event décor industry is evolving, and we choose to lead with purpose, transparency, and long-term responsibility.

We approach sustainability as a daily practice, not a marketing claim. Every decision we make — from farm partnerships to design choices to waste management — is measured against our mission to build a more environmentally responsible, socially equitable, and economically sustainable future.

Sustainability Is a Journey, Not a Destination

Every day, we ask ourselves:

  • How can we reduce our impact even further?

  • Who in our community can we support?

  • What can we design differently to lower waste?

  • How do we bring partners, clients, and the industry along with us?

This mindset keeps us moving forward, constantly improving and challenging industry norms.

Our mission is simple:

Make beauty without compromise — for our clients, our community, and our planet.

Supporting Local, Minority-Owned, and Small Businesses

Florida Fresh proudly partners with artisans, vendors, and small businesses that share our values. We actively prioritize:

  • Minority-owned companies

  • Women-led businesses

  • Local creators and fabricators

  • Sustainable packaging suppliers

  • Community-based producers

When we grow responsibly, we have the ability to support others. The stronger Florida Fresh becomes, the more impact we create across our supply chain and within our community.

Driving Sustainability Through Design

Every design decision offers opportunities to reduce waste and increase positive impact. We focus on:

  • Reusing and repurposing props, containers, and structures

  • Choosing low-impact floral varieties when possible

  • Eliminating unnecessary packaging

  • Designing for easy breakdown and composting

  • Prioritizing materials with a lower carbon footprint

  • Minimizing foam and single-use décor items

Our designers are trained in environmental best practices so that sustainability remains consistent from concept to execution.

Each year, we refine our systems across both campuses to increase efficiency and reduce carbon intensity. Our commitments include:

  • Expanding EV fleet options and reducing fossil fuel use

  • Evaluating solar or renewable energy adoption at our facilities

  • Increasing recycling rates and reducing landfill output

  • Continuing compost expansion

  • Improving cold-chain efficiency

  • Reducing water use where possible

These improvements help lower emissions while maintaining the high level of precision and creativity our clients expect.

Operational Improvements with Purpose

Inspiring a Greener Event Industry

We believe the event décor sector — a multi-billion-dollar industry — must evolve. Florida Fresh is committed to being a catalyst for that change by:

  • Sharing best practices

  • Providing industry education

  • Encouraging vendors and partners to adopt sustainable standards

  • Demonstrating the financial viability of sustainable practices

  • Leading by example in both design and operations

We are proving that sustainability is not a cost — it is an advantage.

We invite clients, partners, and fellow industry professionals to join us in redefining what responsible, beautiful events can look like. With every wedding, every gala, and every corporate installation, we move the industry closer to a future where sustainability enhances creativity rather than limiting it.

Together, we can build a better path — one event at a time.
